MET Gala - 2010

Taking place last night in NYC was one of the biggest nights for fashion of the year, the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's Gala - or as The Huffington Post put it - prom night for fashionistas. As usual there were some great looks...and some total misses - ahem, I'm talking to you Katy Perry in your light-up whatever-the-hell-that-was.

Thankfully, some trusty A-listers were able to ensure the evening was more awe-inspiring than awful. The trends for the night were definitely 40's glam, backless and one shoulder pieces.

Among the gorgeous gowns, the standouts for me were:

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad.

Jessica Alba in Sophie Theallet.

Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B.

And last, but certainly not least - Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston Heritage.

Opinion: The Best Dressed Man in the World.

I'm spoiled because the best dressed man in the world, B2B NBA MVP LeBron James, lives in my own backyard - well, not literally...although, that would be AMAAAAZING - and I think if "the best dressed man in the world" was actually a legit award, he'd be a back to back...to back...winner of that as well. He's the perfect mix of street and high fashion, serious and playful.

Note to the dudes out there: In order to date me, you don't need a good personality..or a job..or any real goals in life...just dress like LeBron and I'm like butta'.**

As proof of my findings, allow me to introduce
exhibits A-D:

Anyone who can make a plain black t-shirt and jeans look that good, deserves some type of award. For anything.

** - This statement may have been exaggerated. I actually do require all of those things in order for you to date me.
